1. How do I join Divine Edge?
You'll need to register an account with wowstead first. You'll find the option in the top right corner of your browser. Your user name doesn't need to be the same as your character.
Next you add your character that you will like to join Divine Edge with, to your account. Make sure the spelling is correct and that the character that is added, is in fact your character.
Then you go to the 'Recruiting' on the menu to the left.
Fill out the application form and give us about 24 hours to review the application.
Check back often to see if you received a reply!

2. How does the ranks work and who's the officers?
It is really very simple. Instead of having a simple hiearchy, The Matriarch has decided that Divine Edge will use the ranks to classify the members into their main modes of gameplay.
This means that if you are someone who wants to be spending your time raiding, you will likely end up in one of the ranks that raid. Your dedication, skill and social competence will of course determine your rank and how long it will take to get you there.
As we don't want to raid (or do anything really) with unfriendly, egocentric, evil people or people that dont know and do not care how to play, we will promote you when we feel comfortable that you will be able to handle the demands of a new position.
In the same way, if you are in it for the achievements and questing, you will likely end up in the rank we have created for your mode of playing. Again, we will determine the nature of your future with us.

3. Where do I find Divine Edge's guild rules?
Rules are always such a pain! But without them, who will protect you as a guild member of Divine Edge? Who will make sure that you're treated fairly? To make sure you know what your rights are and how our rules protect you, keep up to date. Guild Rules Index

4. Do you use a looting system?
Yes, we use EPGP. It works with Effort Points and Gear Points.
It works on a formula calculating Priority. The person with the highest Priority gets first choice.
Priority = EP/GP
So the more effort points you have, the higher your priority. The more gear points you have, the lower your priority.

5. How does the looting system work?
Ok, I'll start with what I've said before:
We use EPGP. It works with Effort Points and Gear Points.
It works on a formula calculating Priority. The person with the highest Priority gets first choice.
Priority = EP/GP
So the more effort points you have, the higher your priority. The more gear points you have, the lower your priority.
If you download and install EPGP from wowmatrix or EPGP (dkp reloaded) from Curse, you'll see "GP = xx" at the bottom of your tooltip when you mouse over an item. This is the GP values that we use.
You need a minimum of 2500 EP before you are eligible for loot.
Ok, now you've gotten 2500 EP and you're in a raid and you want that item! How does it work?
You roll to indicate you want the item.
Because you haven't picked up gear on the new system yet, you start with 1 GP.
Priority = EP/GP = 2500/1 = 2500
You're the only one who wants the item, and you get it. Its GP value is 249. So it gets added to your GP and it's now 250.
Now during the course of the raid, only your GP will change. Effort Points for the raid you're in will only be awarded after it's finished. So your EP remains at 2500 and your GP is now 250.
Another item drops and there's two people who wants it.
Your priority looks slightly different now thanks to the previous drop: Priority = EP/GP = 2500/250 = 10
And the other guy who didn't get anything so far still has EP on 2500 and GP on 1: Priority = EP/GP = 2500/1 = 2500
So the other guy gets it, seeing that 2500 is much higher than 10! :)

1. I get told to "verify my membership". What's that about?
1. Our website has a password which all members need to know (posted in the Guild Information in-game). 2. Visit character management on the website once you're logged in as your character and then click the "guild" tab. 3. Once you enter the password here you'll be granted member access appropriate to your guild rank immediately.
OR
1.) Check for a red Notice link up at the top right. Click on the link and enter the password there.
Once you've verified your membership, you'll be promoted to Bushwhacker when your 7 days probation period is over.
-
2. I've joined Divine Edge, but I still can't access the forums!
Make sure you've verified your membership by entering the guild password (check for a red Notice link up at the top right). Once this is done you should be able to access all areas appropriate for the selected character's rank.
See the question about verifying your membership for detailed instructions.

3. I've just joined Divine Edge... Now what?
As an Initiate, you'll first need to get to know the other guild members. You won't see many events on the calendar, maybe just the occasional fun run. The 7 days of probation gives us a chance to get to know you better, as well as giving you the chance to get to know us. Joining a guild can be a bit confusing, so just follow these simple steps and you'll be part of the family in no time at all! 1. Verify your membership. This is very important. No promotion will ever happen without this. If you've just joined the guild, give our website about 24 hours to pick up from WoW's armory. If you can see your name on the guild roster on the website, then you can verify your membership. 2. During the 7 days of probation you'll have plenty of time to read up on all the current happenings on the forum. Check in daily on the website to see the latest buzz. Make sure you've read all the stickies in all the forum categories. You'll never know when you'll need the information! 3. Be prepared to help. What better way to make new friends than with a helping hand? This is such an easy way to make new friends in the guild. 4. Be patient. The officers check the new recruits and their probation times on a daily basis. Asking them when the probation is over won't make it go any faster, and it will probably only annoy the officer. 5. Once your probation period is over and you've verified your membership on the website, you'll be automatically promoted to Bushwhacker and so will start a beautiful journey to a wonderful relationship with Divine Edge!

4. I've just joined Divine Edge... When will I be able to join the raids?
As Initiate, you're most welcome to pug any raid you wish. However.. before you do, consider these first: * You won't be able to see the raid entries on the calendar, but you can see the raid schedule on this forum. * If you pug a raid, you might miss out on a guild run when they have a spot open. * Our ranking system works on participation. The ranks are a reward for participation... consider this before pugging! * You will most probably see the fun events organised. I suggest you try to attend as many of these as you can. * Once you've been promoted to Bushwhacker, you'll be able to see more raid entries on the calendar. Keyword here: patience!
3. Bushwhackers
-
1. I've just been promoted to Bushwhacker... Now what?
You are now a full fledged member of Divine Edge! Welcome to the family! Here's a couple of tips to ease your journey through this rank: * Get to know your rank leader. It's very important that you know who this person and his lieutenant are. * If you haven't reached lvl 80 yet, then this will be your home for the time being. Feel free to ask advice on the forums while you're leveling. Don't nag people to boost you. You can ask once in guild chat and if no one answers you, then assume they're busy. People here don't ignore each other on purpose. If you're really stuck, then maybe whisper one or two people to help you. Be polite and respect their replies. * If you've already reached lvl 80 and you wish to move onto Adventurer, then make sure you've read all of this. * Remember that the rank leader will promote you based on your participation. While you're a Bushwhacker, there's no raid that's below you. Keep in mind that the rank leader wishes to get to know you and one of the ways is to raid with someone. So doing one or two runs through an easier raid isn't done to insult your raiding experience.. It's done to determine your raiding ability. Anyone can tell us that they're amazing raiders, and they're probably right. But we prefer to see for ourselves... just to make sure!

2. I've been a Bushwhacker for a while now. How do I get the rank leader to notice me?
The best way to deal with this is to talk to the rank leader. Take careful note of what he tells you. Maybe there's something that still needs doing. If you're not satisfied with the way your query is dealt with, then speak to Neisha or Lidrielle. Before you do this, make sure that you've done everything that was required of you. We don't deal with exceptions.

3. Am I allowed to pug as a Bushwhacker?
The Bushwhacker rank is primarily our leveling rank. It also serves as a rank for people who have yet to prove themselves. So while there are no rules against pugging in this rank, you need to think carefully before doing this. The rank leader will promote you based on your participation and performance during guild events. Pugging will not give you the opportunity to show the rank leader your fine raiding abilities. Another thing to consider: if you've just dinged 80, then you need friendly people around you to help you gear up. Also people that will lovingly guide and help you as you set your character up for raids. To best support you while you're figuring out the best rotation or to fine tune your spec. Yes, some guilds boost new lvl 80's for gear, but boosting does nothing for experience. Take your time and be patient. Remember that being in a guild means that you have the support of your guild members. For you to enjoy that previlage, you need get into the habit of participation. Even for a Hogger raid. It's the time we spend together that makes a guild special. This is where to find the guild's current raiding calendar. Sometimes there's a spot open in the progression raids and you might just be asked to fill in (depending on your experience and gear ofc).
